We are sad to announce that Sandi Smith, our manager, will be leaving us at the end of August 2024. Sandi has worked with us since 2018 and has had a very busy six years helping us develop our courses and member benefits and supporting the Trustees in their mission to promote Dalcroze Eurhythmics in the UK.

It has been an interesting six years, which included finding creative ways to deliver our courses online during Covid times and supporting the Zoom Café, which was started by Becca Spencer and has been developed by Jacqueline Vann into an amazing CPD resource.

Many of you will know that Sandi performs as a stand up comedian. Her work commitments in this area have increased significantly in the last year and, while we are sad to lose her, we’re glad that it is as a result of her success in the arts!

We will be advertising for an administrator very soon, so please do share the vacancy when it comes out!

At the end of September our Development Manager, Christine Wardle, will come to the end of her three year contract. We were very lucky to engage Christine, who came to us from the Royal Northern College Of Music with many years of experience of development work with charities and education.

Christine has been instrumental in developing partnerships with Music Masters, Shirelands Academy, Warwick Schools as well as securing our newest patron, Annie Lennox, with the help of treasurer Nick Bottini.

She’s currently working on our Legacy Policy and arranging a celebration in London in September for all members and partners to attend.

The Board of Trustees are now putting plans in place to ensure administrative continuity, as well as a strategic plan to grow and expand the organisation and further information will be communicated as soon as possible.
