The Lullaby Project was conceived 25 years ago by Thomas Cabaniss in New York City and uses the process of creative writing and song-writing to express the hopes and dreams of participants. Since then Lullaby Projects have sprung up all over the world. Jan and David Buley of Lullaby Project-NL (Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada) will share their experiences as facilitators of this initiative in prisons, shelters for women and newcomer centres. David is a Dalcroze practitioner who finds lovely J-D extensions in this work and play. Jan and David are both professors of Education at Memorial University in St. John’s, NL.
