Selma and Mary are intrigued about what is possible over Zoom and would like to explore duets Plastique Animeé over Zoom.
We will explore selected material from Bartok’s 44 duos .
Before the session, participants will be sent scores and a recording of the chosen pieces so they can do some groundwork and familiarise themselves with material. The opening warm-up will ask the question ‘what is a duet?’. Participants will be invited to explore fully the possibilities of movement over zoom whilst using the environment and limitations of space to explore their movement vocabulary and involvement of the camera as audience.
Requirements
Prior experience of Plastique Animeé would be an advantage.
A laptop will be the best way to experience the workshop. Participants will need to be dressed in clothes suitable for movement.
