Curves and straight lines

Inspiring children to improvise music sequences using movement.

In her online children’s classes, Kathryn has incorporated more improvisation into Rhythmics lessons than is normally possible in the room. In this workshop she will lead the group through some of the processes that have worked well, how a multi-modal approach (using Kandinsky, examples from the everyday world, sport, movement and music) have inspired her classes to create some wonderful first explorations into composition/improvisation.

During the class, you will create your own music and movement improvised compositions and share, so please bring a few everyday household items, as well as an orchestral instrument or a piano.
