We are delighted that Andrew Davidson has agreed to run a Zoom session for members on 23rd July at 2pm.

This session will be about applying useful jazz chord progressions to piano improvisation in a Dalcroze context. We will be doing some seated rhythmics, solfa, and piano playing. It will be possible for you to try things out while on mute, so please have a piano or keyboard within arm’s reach. We might hear some volunteers sharing what they’ve discovered as well. Please bring note paper, manuscript, and a pencil so you can jot ideas down as we go. There are two jazz standard lead sheets to have a look at before the session if you like (I Got Rhythm & Fly Me to the Moon). You may prefer to print these rather than reading them on screen. We will use PowerPoint slides for some exercises. A PDF handout will be available as well.

The session is free to members but you will need to register to receive the Zoom link and handouts.

If you are not a member, you can join here from as little as £30 per year.
