Dalcroze UK Zoom Session 27th March

We are setting up a series of sessions via Zoom to provide support and inspiration to Dalcroze practitioners during this unprecedented time.   We plan to run regular sessions, led by top Dalcroze specialists, on topics that you are interested in.  We’re keen to provide a space for members to connect and navigate this very difficult time together, sharing ideas and offering support to each other.

This is also a time where some of you may feel you’ve unexpectedly got more time on your hands and would appreciate having some online sessions to build up your teaching ideas and broaden your Dalcroze horizons.

We will begin by having a discussion led by Trustee Becca Spencer on Friday 27th March from 2pm to 3pm. This will be a live chat to explore and brainstorm topic ideas for online sessions.

It will be recorded so that it can be made available to our members who aren’t able to attend on Friday. You can turn off the video and/or the audio function on your device if you are uncomfortable being recorded. The recorded version will only be made available to members and will not be shown publicly.

Once we’ve heard your views, we will then look to invite a variety of teachers: Diplomèe, Licentiate or experienced Certificate holders to lead future sessions, catering for as many ideas and requests in the coming weeks and months.  These sessions will be free to all members.  We hope that this may be the start of something positive which could ultimately continue beyond this Corona Virus outbreak.

This first session will be free to all participants, including non-members. Future topic specific sessions will be free for members with a small charge to non-members of £5.

Membership starts at just £30 per year and individuals can join at any time by clicking here.

If you can’t make the first session but have questions or requests for session topics, please email us (admin@dalcroze.org.uk) by 5pm on Thursday 26th and we will do our best to address them.

The link to join the meeting is shown below. Participants are limited to 100 so do get there in plenty of time!
