We are delighted to be returning to the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, England for our Easter Course in 2020. The RNCM is a leading international conservatoire located in the heart of Manchester, with a reputation for attracting talented students, teachers, conductors and composers from all over the world.
2020 marks 30 years of Dalcroze education at the RNCM.
This non-residential course will run from Sunday 5th April to Wednesday 8th April. Participants will register on Sunday afternoon and the course will end on Wednesday afternoon.
As an extra strand for the Easter Course this year, we will be joined on Monday 6th April by the talented students of the RNCM Young Strings programme and their teachers, Sarah Crooks and Susanne Nicholas. The day will celebrate 30 years of Dalcroze and string pedagogy at the RNCM and will focus on applying Dalcroze principles in string teaching. Participants can join for the whole course or just for this day.
The course is for anyone interested in finding out about the method but also for those who wish to refresh their skills and understanding of Dalcroze Eurhythmics. Classes will take place in Rhythmics, Aural Training and Improvisation and there will also be workshops to attend including a chance for teachers to exchange good practice.
