Drusilla Harris

Drusilla trained as a professional violinist at the RNCM. After graduating, she stayed a further two years to complete an Advanced Performance Diploma alongside her Dalcroze Certificate training. For many years she worked as a Dalcroze teacher whilst also performing professionally, teaching at Sumics Children’s Music Group in Islington, Christchurch University Canterbury, The Purcell School, Central School of Ballet and Adelaide University. She also directed and choreographed some Oratorio and Opera for the Northern Sinfonietta at The Sage. After having children, she completed her Dalcroze License training and spent some time working on a voluntary basis for a local primary school, providing weekly sessions for children aged 6 and under. She also began working for St John’s College School Cambridge on their Saturday outreach programme ‘Stringmoves’. In 2013 she started to work as a full time music teacher at St John’s, where she still teaches.
